An Ideal Student :

A student may secure rank in his examination. He may be good player of cricket or basketball or volleyball. He may be good at literary activities. If he is proud arrogant and haughty, then people do not pay any attention to that student. They ignore him completely. If he is polite, good-natured person, all would love him very much. By the side academic education one must be fully aware of his duties and responsibilities to the others. A student’s life is the best period to get training. So every student should endeavour to be an ideal one. He has to pave way and throw light on the path and follow those very ideals. An ideal student is an asset to the nation. A nation would prosper and reach the Zenith of glory if it has disciplined army of ideal students.

An ideal student should be intelligent and simple. He should have the quality of simple living and high thinking. He must be fearless and bold enough to face the trails and tribulations of life. In order to become an ideal student one must follow certain principles in life. First he must try to live in accordance with the strict rules of conduct and discipline. This is the time of life when the foundation character is laid down. He should not forget the following saying.

If wealth is lost, nothing is lost.
If health is lost, something is lost.
If character is lost, everything is lost.

Thus the significance of an ideal student is quite vivid from the above statement. Next comes the discipline. He must obey the rules of school and college and the dictates of his teachers and ciders. The ideal student tries to understand how much he owes to his parents, mothers and sisters. He will realise that he is under heavy debt of his parents. The modern trend is that students after completing their education forget their parents. As soon as they are married, they live separately with their wives. They forget those days of hardships which the parents had suffered for the healthy growing of their children. An ideal student foes not behave like this.

An ideal student will serve society. He shares the worries and problems of others and finds solutions to complicated problems of the society. He thinks that it is his sacred duty to improve the social, cultural and economic conditions of the country. He is bold and he rushes -in where others fear to tread.

According to Swamy Vivckananda, "What our country now wants are men with muscles of iron and nerves of steel, gigantic wills nothing can resist." If the students possess the above cited qualities all-round development of the nation will take place. So an ideal student is an asset to the country.
