Countable Nouns :
These nouns are the nouns denoting the items or things or persons which can be counted numerically. The other name for the term these nouns is count nouns. Those which can not be counted are called uncountable nouns. In English most of the nouns come under this category of nouns.
PEN is an example for this type of noun. PEN can be counted.
ANGER is an example for the uncountable noun. ANGER can not be counted.

They are quantified by an amount rather than a number.
They have only one singular form. They do not have plural form
They cannot take the articles such as "a," "an" or "one" before them as modifiers.
They can take "much" as a modifier.
