In order to change a sentence that has ‘so...that’ to ‘too...to’ we have to add a negative if the sentence is in the affirmative.

In order to change a sentence that has ‘so...that’ to ‘too...to’ we have to remove the negative if the sentence is in the negative.

For example :

This exercise is so difficult that I cannot do it.
This exercise is too difficult for me to do.

Replace ‘so...that’ with ‘too...to” in the following sentences.

There are so many birds that I cannot count them.
There are too many birds for me to count.

Those flowers are so pretty that we should not pluck them.
Those flowers are too pretty for us to pluck them.

Mani is so young that he cannot handle this responsibility.
Mani is too young to handle this responsibility.

The print is so small that I cannot read it.
The print is too small for me to read.

The crowd was so huge that I could not get into the bus.
The crowd was too huge for me to get into the bus.

Replace ‘too...to’ with ‘so...that’ in the following sentences.

The bank is too far for me to walk to it.
The bank is so far that I could not walk to it.

The current of the river was too strong for us to swim in it.

The eagle is flying so high that we could not see it.

The children were so restless that they do not listen to their teacher.
