Neuter Pronouns :
We often take no account of the sex of children or of lower animals and in speaking of them we use Neuter Pronouns. Things without sex and life cannot be differentiated either as male or female. Hence the names of such things are said to be of the Neuter Gender.
A noun or pronoun denoting a thing without life is belonging to the neuter gender nouns.
Examples : pencil, pen, pillow, light, water, sun, star, book, dust, computer, leaf, it, etc…
