What is a UNIT?
A Unit is a basic part. Units make a word or a sentence complete.
How many Units are there in English?
There are FIVE UNITS.
1. Letter
2. Word
3. Sentence
4. Phrase
5. Clause
All these five Units make a sentence or a paragraph and so on…
Letters
Letters are otherwise known as “ALPHABETS”.
Alphabets which is consists of 26 letters.
These Alphabets can be written in two forms.
Capital letters and Small letters. Now a days these letters can also written in the form of cursive letters.

Consonants : In the alphabets all other alphabets other than these vowels are said as consonants.
